Identifies international business opportunities and advises Portuguese companies on the best way to approach foreign markets, through its client managers and a set of digital channels with specialised information, training programmes and business matchmaking services. It promotes the development of internationalisation processes of Portuguese companies, namely SMEs, with support in the creation and implementation of strategies and broadening the base of local clients and suppliers. It is responsible for welcoming investment projects in Portugal, of national or foreign origin, that contribute to the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the Portuguese economy. In addition to providing advice and information "tailored" to the needs of clients, AICEP accompanies each stage of the projects - from the analysis and granting of incentives to the choice of location and selection of human resources - making, if necessary, their subsequent referral to other entities, depending on the project profile. Promotes the training of young Portuguese talent through the international internship programme INOV Contacto, contributing to the internationalisation of the Portuguese economy and the notoriety of Portugal's image in the world.
