Baquelite Liz, SA is today a benchmark in the plastics sector, offering a range of solutions for the most diverse business areas. Founded in 1946, it is the oldest plastics factory in Leiria. Located in Gândara dos Olivais, Baquelite Liz, SA produces plastic products mainly through the extrusion process (PVC pipes, high and low density polyethylene pipes, hoses and profiles) and injection moulding (boxes and containers, crates, construction articles, household utilities, among others). Its products are constantly tested in its own laboratory, equipped with highly sophisticated equipment and qualified technicians, guaranteeing unrivalled quality. Control of the product and the manufacturing process itself is an essential activity to guarantee the homogeneity of the characteristics of the final products, which are evaluated throughout production in order to determine their compliance with the applicable requirements, specifications and standards, in accordance with the determinations of the Quality Plans. Baquelite Liz SA's management policy also does not neglect the impact of its activities on the environment, which is why it incorporates recycled materials into its manufacturing process, in addition to virgin materials. Baquelite Liz, SA also carries out audits, thus anticipating the behaviour of the products under the conditions in which they are placed on the market.
