INESC TEC

INESC TEC is a private non-profit research organisation with public interest status, dedicated to scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, consultancy and advanced training and the pre-incubation of new technology-based companies. As an institution that operates at the interface between the academic world and the business world, bringing together academia, companies, public administration and society, INESC TEC normally applies the knowledge and results generated within the scope of its research in technology transfer projects, seeking to create value and immediate social relevance. INESC TEC's 13 R&D Centres are structured into four thematic domains - Computer Science, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Intelligent Network Systems and Power and Energy. INESC TEC is home to more than 700 integrated researchers (around 350 PhDs), including staff researchers, researchers from Higher Education Institutions, scholarship holders and affiliated researchers. INESC TEC's team also includes trainees and technical and administrative support staff.
