Future Corvette (Greece)

De acordo com a Shephard, a Grécia procura substituir 10 novas fragatas com Corvetas. Em baixo a análise da Defense Insight:

The Hellenic Navy have a corvette requirement to replace the ten Elli-class frigates. They are expected to procure ten new vessels to replace the ageing vessels which include four new FDI frigates (see separate entry) leaving the possibility for six new corvettes. Greece has joined as a partner of the European Patrol Corvette (EPC), which is being developed by a joint venture between Italy's Fincantieri and France's Naval Group named Naviris. However, the programme has attracted a number of shipbuilders including Fincantieri, Naval Group, Damen, Lockheed Martin, Babcock, and ONEX Neorion.

A decision was expected in 2022, while deliveries are estimated between 2026 and 2030. At Euronaval 2022, Shephard understood that the programme has been paused, and a contract is now likely to be awarded in 2023.
