The EISNET project is to define the EAFT that will consist in a set of common concepts, rules and functions which will permit the scalability of heterogeneous weapon systems, sensors and FCC with different architectures or configurations cooperating in a network centric solution. Systems compliant with the EAFT will form a dynamic decision-making sensor grid and operational performance will obtain the benefit of the multilayered sensors coverage, resources and data combined while accelerating the exchange of information down the control and command chain.

The project aims at developing a common European framework made of prototype AI-based cyber defence agents to perform autonomous and semi-autonomous actions covering the whole cyber incident management life cycle, to support operators and decision-makers within various scenarios. The project addresses two main challenges that end-users in the defence sector are facing: 1) A growing attack surface due to increasing digitalisation and 2) the use of AI-based solutions for delivering cyber attacks.

The project develops and demonstrates at sea an integrated system of systems of unmanned platforms to perform joint anti-submarine and seabed warfare operations to protect critical maritime infrastructure. The overall concept has a very strong focus on the common Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) approach between participants and their related national ministries of defence. It includes a concept of engagement against enemy intruders by using anti-torpedo torpedoes.
